CSR commitment
A measurable and recognized CSR commitment
Éco Calanques has achieved an Impact Score of 61, reflecting the strength of our environmental, social, and local responsibility approach.
This independent score assesses the real impact of our practices and confirms our commitment to more sustainable and responsible maritime tourism.
At Éco Calanques, our mission is simple: to help people discover the Mediterranean in a different way — with respect for living nature, those who work here, and those who come to explore it.
Our commitments are part of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach based on three pillars: environmental, social, and local responsibility
A sustainable, exemplary maritime tourism
Hybrid and energy-efficient navigation
Our boats, designed and maintained with our technical partners (Éco Calanques boats and Bruine Beer), combine sail propulsion and electric motors. This drastically reduces emissions and ensures quiet navigation that respects the marine environment.
Approved by the Calanques National Park
We are officially authorized and accredited by the Calanques National Park, ensuring professional, sustainable operations that comply with local environmental regulations.
“Esprit Parc National” label
This label recognizes our efforts to offer an authentic and responsible experience that highlights the natural and human heritage of the region.
Respect for silence and marine wildlife
On board, we promote calm and attentive presence:
No microphones — communication is done by voice.
Music is rare or discreet.
Navigation is gentle, with no noise disturbance.
This quiet atmosphere comforts marine wildlife — and makes our outings unique, giving a genuine feeling of being “alone at sea.”
Short supply chains and responsible catering
We work with committed local partners to offer healthy products, short supply chains, and zero waste:
For ticketed outings:
Partnership with Casa Consolat — organic, local, homemade cuisine.
Delivery by cargo bike with zero carbon emissions.
For private events:
Caterers selected for their eco-responsible approach, such as KIF (3 eco tables label).
Use of reusable jars and large containers without unnecessary packaging.
Systematic sorting and recycling on board.
Water savings onboard:
Each passenger keeps the same marked glass throughout the day, avoiding unnecessary washing, reducing water waste, and minimizing cleaning product use.
Social and human commitment
At Éco Calanques, we believe respect begins on board — among crew members and with our passengers.
We foster human-centered, supportive management based on cooperation, listening, and autonomy.
We work with local and seasonal crews who are trained and aware of safety and marine protection. We also encourage diversity and access to maritime professions for young people and women, who remain under-represented in the nautical sector.
Navigating differently, for tomorrow
Every sea outing is an opportunity to show that another kind of tourism is possible: more respectful, more conscious, and more local. We want to continue evolving and learning, and to inspire others to commit to a living, shared sea
