Historical Visit of Marseille by Sea and the Frioul Archipelago (Swimming)

The 2,600-year-old Phocaean city reveals itself along the water.
Leaving Vieux-Port by boat lets us admire a historic panorama of Marseille's main monuments: the Panier district, the Bonne Mère (Notre-Dame de la Garde), Saint Victor Abbey, Fort Saint Jean and Fort Saint Nicolas, the Palais du Pharo, and the Mucem… The cruise continues along the coast, giving you time to admire the port of La Joliette, Catalans beach and the famous Cercle des Nageurs, before reaching the small fishing port of Vallon des Auffes. We then head towards Malmousque and the Gabi islet to reach the southern roadstead. From here we get a view of the summit of Marseilleveyre, which overlooks the Calanques park, the Vélodrome stadium and the Prado beaches. The cruise then takes us to the Frioul archipelago, where we discover the Château d'If, the old quarantine station at Port Pomègue and the Caroline hospital. One of the many coves of Frioul, now protected by the Calanques National Park, will welcome us for a swim before we return to Vieux-Port.
